Description
This is a balanced study which seeks to give fasting the weight that Scripture gives, while avoiding abuse. The book includes a biblical index, and an appendix dealing with the textual problems surrounding four references to fasting in the New Testament.
God’s Chosen Fast continues to serve as the well-researched, biblically based guidebook for anyone wanting to begin fasting or for anyone wanting to learn more about this formidable spiritual discipline that has the power to change your life. --Susan Gregory, author of The Daniel Fast
Arthur Wallis wrote the book God’s Chosen Fast about seventy-five years ago. He did not realize his book would be the ‘signature book’ on fasting for the next four generations of believers. Those who have sought to know God intimately, and to see God’s miraculous power in answer to prayer, have read, studied and applied God’s Chosen Fast. May it have another seventy-five years of Spirit-filled ministry. --Elmer L. Towns, Cofounder and Vice President of Liberty University
I read God’s Chosen Fast when I was eighteen, and forty years later I’m still practicing what Arthur Wallis taught me. --Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life
