Journaliste de formation et juriste diplômé de l’Université de Yale, Lee Strobel a travaillé pendant treize ans pour le Chicago Tribune  et d’autres quotidiens américains, remportant différents prix. Aujourd’hui, cet ancien athée exerce un ministère pastoral et d’enseignement au sein de l’église Willow Creek . Il a aussi publié plusieurs ouvrages, dont Plaidoyer pour la foi , Plaidoyer pour un Dieu créateur  et Jésus: la parole est à la défense!
